Ascarid found in this 4 yr old’s manure. Dewormed 2 weeks ago but had been to shows and stabled at a trainer with overcrowded conditions – about 60 horses on 20 acres. The stress of shipping to a trainer with overcrowded conditions, shipping to horse shows, young age, and inadequate parasite control led to this parasite infection.
